The Hljódaklettar Kirkjan

Hljódaklettar is a set of volcanic formations from around 8,000 years ago. It is located 8 km south of the mouth of the canyon Jökulsárgljúfur, Jökulsárgljúfur National Park. This park is located in the northern belt of Iceland. Many lava formations here help to highlight the Kirkjan (the church), also formed by basalt columns.
