The Holy Trinity Column

1 review of The Holy Trinity Column

Holy Trinity Column

The Holy Trinity Column is located in the center of Trinity Square. By 1700, the locals of Buda had built a smaller column to commemorate the end of a plague, but the then-mayor promised to built a much bigger one which he did in 1712. The column depicts various saints and the Virgin Mary, all of whom were said to have protected the city during the outbreak of the plague.
