The Spirit of Sail

"Spirit Of Sail" (known locally as 'The Sails') is a 40-foot, 4000 pound fiberglass sculpture that has become an icon of the city of Kelowna. It can be found where Bernard Avenue meets the waterfront, usually surrounded by tourists taking photos. It was installed in 1978 by a Scottish sculptor named Robert Dow Reid.
