The Science of Wine Museum

Appropriately located in an old renovated alcohol factory, this museum has appeal for all five senses as well as visitors of all ages. It outlines the history of wine in Extremadura by explaining the various phases of its creation like the harvest, barrel-aging, and the bottling process. They also have temporary exhibits which highlight wine and other regional products.

Our route through Extremadura began in Almendralejo and, more specifically, in the Museum of the Science of Wine, a modern museum that delights visitors with its fantastic design and all-ages appeal. It’s located in an old alcohol factory and details the history of wine, from its origins up to the present, with a special emphasis on the scientific aspects.
