an old building from the Song Dynasty
The Six Harmonies Pagoda is located on Mount Yuelun, facing the Qiantang River. Formerly, this building served as a beacon to guide ships on their way into the port. It's an old building from the Song Dynasty (960-1279), but was recently rebuilt by the government of the city in order to open it up for tourist visits. Currently there's no interior decoration, and the main attraction is the view it offers.
