The Tiger HIll

It is certainly the most incredible monument of Suzhou, The Venice of the East: Suzhou, and easy to point out seen from the outside without even having to enter the park. Here I show you not only the Tiger Hill Pagoda but also the houses, The Leaning Pagoda. King I Lü was buried here in Tiger Hill. Its name "Tiger" is just that because according to legend, once I Lü died, a few days later there was a White Tiger which later disappeared. For this reason it was thought that the tiger protected the king's tomb. It took 1500 years, constructed up the hill the pagoda, which incidentally was not inclined but over time it was not clear why it tilted.
