Tomb of Sveshtari Tharacian

1 review of Tomb of Sveshtari Tharacian

Priceless example of architecture

This tomb is 2.5 kilometers southwest of Sveshtari, in the Razgrad province of Bulgaria. It represents the vestiges of human culture of Thracians, that was discovered in 1982. The architecture that can be seen in surrounding areas and that make up the monument is considered unique. A visit to the tomb is rewarded with views of the sunflower fields that surround it, and the natural beauty of the flat plain where it is. The tomb is semi-cylindrical in shape, and consisting of a series of murals with 10 half-human female figures (top) and half floors (below), which are carved in high up on the walls of the main chamber.
