The corpus in triana

The Sunday after the Thursday of Corpus Christi is celebrated in my neighborhood the Corpus Chico, as it is popularly called, to distinguish it from Sevilla. The procession leaves the Royal Parish of Mrs. Santa Ana, a beautiful Gothic-Mudejar church of almost 750 years. Custody of Triana is the work of Andrew Ossorio, held in 1712 in embossed silver. I show some pictures of altars and balconies decorate the streets, the work of neighborhood residents who do not want it done this tradition, in which even the children involved. The City held a contest, rewarding those who considered more artistic. The awards serve to cover the flowers and go improve them year after year.

The most popular barrio de sevilla

Strolling through the popular neighborhood of Triana is a unique opportunity to feel the atmosphere and daily life of Triana. Observing her people, neighboring pens, dance academies, pottery workshops and their most iconic buildings is great. Its main points of interest include Elizabeth II Bridge, better known as Triana Bridge, Plaza of the Hill, La Calle Betis, famous for the local tapas and from which we see a wonderful view of Sevilla, the Chapel of the Mariners and a lovely old market.

By triana

The journey through La Cartuja dropped at the start of the Barrio de Triana, one of the most iconic and well-known of Seville. Probably the most popular of the neighborhood is the Isabel II bridge, or simply bridge of Triana, which has more than 150 years. Around the bridge, the two banks of the Rio Guadalquivir terraces extend to the side and long walks to the other. In this area the river concentrate a large number of sports, where canoes and canoes cross pedal boating and tourist boats that run along the river showing the city and the monuments that can be seen from there.

The popular neighborhood of flamenco

Triana, now elegant middle-class neighborhood, is very old ... very old (have been found Roman remains). Traditionally, the district in which the sailors and workers lived is the "neighborhood" for excellence in which we live that wonderful form of art and music that is flamenco, especially in its local variant: the Sevillana. Try to explore it with lazy pace ... perhaps stopping occasionally to strengthen you with a tapa ... you will not regret!

Barrio triana

Less touristy than the rest of Seville which it is separated by the river Guadalquivir, Triana neighborhood full of charming little streets and quiet. You will meet some churches, the chapel Rocio unfortunately often closed, but also places to have a drink and even sleep. The main shopping street Calle San Jacinto remains at the exit of the Triana bridge.

Barrio triana

Bar

Typical bar Triana, worth visiting. Ask pork tenderloin with garlic and steak, ham and cheese. A little pricey but worth seeing the place.

Bar
