Vallon Pont d'Arc is a village in the Ardeche region, a rural area of great natural beauty in southern France. To get there, take the A7 to Montelimar, then go to Bourg Saint Andéol. The gorges of Ardeche are a tourist attraction and there are simple directions to get there. Vallon Pont d'Arc is dedicated to tourism, especially in the summer when you can go down the gorges with a kayak. There are many campsites, and some hotels, with cheap, rural tourism. You can stay two or three days. Besides kayaking, activities include swimming in the river, hiking, and other extreme water sports. There is a supermarket with a petrol station and an ATM.
