A Seafood Feast!

Verdejo Restaurant is situated along a less-crowded stretch of the Salobreña seaside and it's an excellent choice to try out the local seafood. While the joint is known for its mariscadas (platters of grilled seafood), we opted for the menu and weren't disappointed!

We started with some shrimp boiled in seawater which were perfectly juicy and salty, and had rounds of breaded and fried monkfish chunks with garlic aioli, and Andalusia's famous aubergines with sugarcane honey, which were to die for. The main course was delicate codfish loins with a reduction of the famous Motril Pale Rum, a local spirit which is renowned for its smoothness and natural hint of vanilla.
