Miradouro do Castelo

This place with the Castle and the Castle Garden (Jardim do Castelo) was acquired in 1938 by the city of Tavira. They planned to create a viewpoint, using the unique panoramic view over the city in those years when the buildings were seen less and reached the sea. Today from there you can see the church domes, the Castle Gardens and the roofs of the modern city of Tavira - green mixed with nature, red shingles and blue of the sky. Tavira has hundreds, if not thousands, of viewpoints, each dome, each tower, each terrace, each becomes one.
