Spending an early morning or sunset on top of these walls is an experience you will always remember. Being on top of the walls, just contemplating centuries of history and nature around you is a unique experience. Around the fort and viewpoint are the high mountains, and down at the bottom is the old ancient town Kotor, and the distance is the wide and long (30 miles!) Bay.

Due to the height of the mountains and the gazebo itself, we have direct sunlight for an hour longer than they do down in the village. The place is large with many various areas to settle oneself down and obtain the preferred view.

Spend a moment above these walls that dominate Kotor, either in the morning to see the sunrise, or late afternoon to view the sun lower behind the mountain. You're up there alone, contemplating centuries of history and natural beauty of Montenegro, which is one of the youngest countries in the world, in a region rich in culture and history, the Balkans. Around the fort and viewpoint, are the mountains overlooking Kotor, a chain along the coast from Slovenia to Albania, the Dinaric Alps. Below is the ancient town of Kotor, a UNESCO World heritage and its bay, which is 30 kilometers long. A good thing about being high up in the mountain is that you have an hour of daylight in the villa which later disappears when you go higher.
