Xian

Xian was the first major city I visited when I was in China and it is perhaps for that precise reason that it impressed me so much. It perfectly combines classic architecture with private rooftops and red lanterns, with the most surprising modernity. Huge avenues with modern office buildings, commercial macrocentros make one wonder why we call China a Communist country, with manicured lawns, electric bikes and the latest technology ... history and modernity perfectly assembled.
