Zagoria Villages

If there is a magical place in Greece that is totally unknown by tourists it is Mount Pindus and the towns and villages of Zagoria. These tiny populations are hidden in the depths of the mountains and to reach them you have to drive a long way by narrow roads full of curves. I recommend anyone driving to be careful, because although this road provides fascinating views it is very easy to forget the wheel. There are a total of 46 villages of Zagoria, many of them are now uninhabited, but fortunately the surviving villages are trying to gradually strengthen themselves and become known through rural tourism.
