The Ibis Styles Geneva Gare Geneva hotel as an excellent location only 100 metres from the train and bus stations, making it perfect for travelling to and from the airport with ease. The hotel also gives you a public transport card for getting around the city. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and have satellite TVs, safes, and refrigerators. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.
Situated in Iseltwald, Switzerland, this hotel was built in 1912, and has three stars. The hotel is in a city ideal for family holidays, with a variety of excursions. It has a restaurant where you can enjoy typical regional dishes. The rooms are all spacious and well equipped, with private bathroom. Valet parking is available.
The Tiffany is a small 4-star hotel situated in Geneva, Switzerland. Whilst it is not actually located in the same old town, you can easily walk there in a couple of minutes. The really interesting thing about this place is that it works in connection with the tourist office of the city and offers trips that you can check out on its website: Http :/ / www.Geneve-tourisme.Ch/?Rubrique=0000000273 The offers include bed and breakfast, travel cards to get around the city on weekends and some additional excursions, such as a cruise on Lake Leman. They also offer some interesting packages that include dinner at restaurants or visits to cultural activities such as the opera. There is also a beautiful restaurant with an interior type really well preserved with an Art Nouveau style. The hotel's name is a tribute to the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (Breakfast at Tiffany's)
Kipling Hotel is very close to the station, and was named for globetrotters. Not a luxury hotel, but it is comfy. It has everything you need and also has everything very well placed. The rooms are big and there is good service to complement its location, perfect if you are moving around the country by train. It is on the other side of the historic area, if what you want is to go there. On the contrary, it is right next to the Baths of Paquis.
I was surprised by how close this hotel was to the center of Zurich. It is located close to Niederdorfstrasse street which has several pubs and restaurants. It's clean and the Wifi is quick enough. There weren´t too many food options at the breakfast buffet but everything was abundant in quantity. The rooms are newly renovated and are very cozy.
Leonheck The hotel is situated a few steps from the center of Zurich, making it a good choice for those not looking for much more than an interesting and well-situated hotel. What stands out most certainly is its decor: strange. Why lie? It has its charm but it is stragge. Cows everywhere. As for service, the hotel is fine. They have a good restaurant and optimal care. Yes, not brilliant. It has a classic hotel look like but hey, it's recommended.
The Tralala Hotel is one of those hotels that I love, with some design touches and which is comfortable. In my case a room with a huge bed, the kind that you don't want to leave in the morning. When you arrive, you are offered a welcome drink while they fill in your details to do the check-in. The morning breakfast is very good with everything you expect to find: milk, juice, pastries, that you need to start the morning right. Finally, the staff behaved great with us, they were very nice and looked after us with a smile.
This is a hotel set in an old building, which dates to 1861. It has been completely renovated and equipped with modern facilities. It has a nice bar and a restaurant where, in the morning, they serve a buffet breakfast to help you start the day. Also, you can stop by the bar where you can enjoy refreshments and light meals throughout the day and live music at night.
This hotel is very fashionable and relaxed. I´m not just saying that, it really is the truth. The interior wood is a mix of bright and welcoming style and striking decorations. The rooms are fully equipped, including a Sony Playstation. This hotel was built in 1881, and has become a classic in the area, even for the youth who visit. A hotel that will make you feel at home.
This is a truly lovely place to spend a few days. It is situated in the village of Bad Ragaz near the train station and about 300 meters away from the lake. We ate well in the restaurant there, we didn´t use any of the other facilities. It is a hotel with great memories for the Coronado family. First my mother worked there in the 70s, then my sisters and cousins. I take this opportunity to send you a hug on behalf of the whole family to the owners of Hotel-Restaurant. Until the next visit, which I hope is soon.
Located right on the edge of Lake Lehman, the best thing about this old hotel is its location. Its just steps from the metro station which will put you on top of the city in a jiffy. Its also only about 5 minutes from the Olympic Museum and the seafront "promenade" by the Lake. Moreover, the hotel is very nice. Their rooms come with everything you need and if you're lucky to be in the upper floors, a magnificent view of the lake.
Le Petit Hotel is one of the least expensive in Zermatt. It has the disadvantage of being situated on the bank of a stream, so in summer when the water drops very strongly, you can hear it in the rooms. Just ask for a room on the opposite side of the stream. At the reception you can get very good information about the state of the hiking trails.
This small town in the Val d'Anniviers in the Swiss French area is the most characteristic of the valley with black wooden houses and red geraniums in every house. If you are looking for a place to relax or to go hiking, you can't beat it.
Located near both the Swiss and French railway stations, Hotel Metropol is ideally situated within walking distance of downtown and right next to the tram interchange which gets you anywhere in the city in a jiffy. The staff are nice, the rooms are great and the breakfast is delicious I believe, though I couldn't try it as I had to get up so early. Definitely a recommended hotel.
It's funny because there are in fact two different Best Western hotels in the same building, so it's a common mistake to go to the wrong one (always look for an excuse when you screw up, lol). Actually, the hotel is wonderful and the location is spectacular. It's in historic downtown, next to the Market Square and Parliament. The interior doesn't disappoint, either. It's a hotel that is worthy of being in Bern!. Yes, if you are looking for 5-star luxury, this is not your place. Of course, the receptionists are friendly and you can even rent a bicycle to explore the city.
A highly recommended hotel for a stay in Lucerne. It's just three minutes away from the railway station and, five minutes away from the lake. It's a short walk from the shopping district and a short walk to the old town and the famous Chapel Bridge. As for comfort, this hotel has everything. The rooms are great, the service is superb and the restaurant is more than enough. It also has a restaurant that's said to be really good, but the truth is that I didn't get a chance to try it.
Located right on the shores of Lake Lugano, Hotel Walter is a typical holiday hotel. Lugano is a resort town in northern Switzerland with longer hours of sun and the variety of entertainment offered by the canton of Ticino. As a hotel, the facilities may be a little dated, but it has everything you need and, above all, the lake view rooms have an amazing panoramic. There is a rooftop terrace and solarium when needed in summer.
If you want a small hotel ideally located in the modern part of Zurich, just steps from the Banhoffstrasse and commercial heart, this is the perfect place. One step from the Paradeplatz and surrounded by shops of all kinds, it is very close to the Globus (the mega mall of the city). In addition, the indoors are great. They are modern, spacious and well equipped. The breakfast is strange, which you have in a kind of bar that connects adjacent to the hotel. In short, a good choice for sure.
Hello: this home features a family vacation apartment for up to four people, maximum five. It has a fairly modest price and offers views of the mountains near Lake Zurich in a beautiful region with beautiful views of the Swiss countryside! It is near Einsiedeln (Black Madonna) ..
And ait is also near the beautiful city of Rapperswil ... A half hour from Hochibrig and 20 minutes from Zurich .... The owners are sympathetic and caring people. As soon as I entered the Carlton-Europe, I immediately felt I needed a suitcase without wheels and a hat, as in the films of the 80s when the protagonist runs away from home and ends up in a hotel. The hotel has a vintage and fascinating feel. The carpet on the floor, wallpaper on the walls and they even have vintage suitcases and chairs in the corridors. Inside, you will even find a shoe cleaner. The room is cozy and overlooks the river. The hotel is next to the train station and the departure of the boat to Brienz, making it a perfect choice if you are passing.
Throughout our stay in Switzerland, we were always in hotels near train stations. This wasn't the case, however, in Schweizerhof. It wasn't a problem though because the hotel van was waiting for us at the station when we arrived and took us to the door of this luxury hotel. When we arrived, it was cold and dark, and the reception clerk responded quickly and showed us our rooms which were quite large, but that was not the most important thing. The best were the stunning views. The night was not the best time to enjoy it, but they were really amazing and incredible. In the morning, I was awakened by the light coming through the window leading to the balcony. I looked out with one eye half open: the sky was clear and the light was impressive. "I have to get the camera" was the first thing I thought that day. When I got up and went onto the balcony, the views were much more than I thought they would be. It was a blast, I was there taking pictures until I couldn't stand the cold any longer and we prepared everything to continue our journey.
The City Hostel Geneva is located on Rue Ferrier, which is just a few minutes from the main Geneva train station, which you can get to directly from the airport train. It's a new hostel with all the necessary amenities to make your stay in the city enjoyable. There are double rooms with shared bathrooms and showers down the hall. Laundry facilities are in the basement and there are kitchens on every floor. All rooms have free WiFi (you can ask for the keys at reception). The new, clean bathrooms definitely caught my attention. In just over a 10 minute walk you will be in the Mont Blanc bridge above Lake Geneva. The stay in this hostel includes a card for everyday transport you to remain in Geneva. It also includes the train to the airport and type vaporetto boats across the lake from shore to shore.
This hostel is a typical Swiss house and is cheaper than anything else in the area of Interlaken and therefore it welcomes amount of backpackers, mainly Japanese. It also includes breakfast (milk, juice, toast, jam and cheese). In the basement there is a disco bar for a good teenage audience. But you can't hear the music from the rooms. The rooms (double or multiple) have no bathroom or shower. They are in the hall and shared with other guests, as in other hostels. The only downside is that the showers weren't very clean.
EasyHotel Zurich belongs to a small chain of hotels in the low cost airline Easy Jet Hence. For this reason, it maintains its orange color, characteristic of this brand. It is a simple hotel, with rooms well used. If you go on foot, in 15 minutes you arrive at the Zurich train station, from where most of the routes through the city leave. Breakfast is not included, but in the reception they will give you some discount tickets for breakfast at the cafe opposite the hotel. If you are going to travel around Switzerland in a rental car, every day in the blue area in Zurich costs about 17 francs. The hotel has parking for three cars only, and costs 20 francs / day.
The Goldey Swiss Q Hotel is in a quiet and sunny location that can be found on the banks of the Aare River, just a 5 minute walk from downtown. The hotel offers sauna, massage, free bikes and free entrance to the indoor and outdoor public pool. Also, as usual Swiss hospitality of your host Andreas Kuchen and his team. Facilities, Bar, Dining, Restaurant, Sauna, Fax service. Valet parking is available for hotel guests. Come and listen to the silence.
The Schweizerhof Swiss Q Wellness Hotel opened in 1992. It's in a slightly elevated location in the center of the village of Saas Fee. Theh hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and glaciers. It offers modern meeting rooms for up to 160 people. And 44 luxurious rooms, all well-equipped. Facilities include a spa with sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, swimming pool and fitness room. There is also parking.
This is a three star hotel that offers accomodation in a modern hotel. Its interior, which predominantly has a traditional atmosphere, has high-end, comfortable ammenities to give the decor a particular style and unique site offering, in turn, a wide range of services. It has 30 rooms, all equipped with shower, telephone, internet access, TV and minibar.
Just recently I went to to Montreux, well, Chamonix splicing to Switzerland to learn more about the area. Thinking where to sleep in my time in Montreux I saw a good offer, hostels for youth. It's a simple, staying in these hostels means you can be in different types of rooms, from rooms to 6 people sharing ... Etc. The rooms are small, or at least the one I stayed in, but who cares, just go to sleep: A drawback of this place is that it is next to the railroad tracks, and at night it can wake you, but it didn´t bother me much, I slept well. Shared bathroom, showers, lockers to store your things and then drinks room, children's play room and I think one to have a meeting. At breakfast there is an open bar so to speak, you may eat to explode, orange juice, toast, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, cheese, ham and I believe it, but sure I leave something. The dining room is a nice site with posters on the walls of the Montreux Jazz Festival. Definitely a good choice to stay in Montreux for a very cheap price from CHF 35 per night with breakfast included (about 29 € -30 €) PD: Forgiven the quality of two of the photos but I made the hostel brochure I felt bad because people do them with my room in, or dining room full ;). All photos were taken with my N96
