The Casa Villaronta Restaurant. It's a small restaurant in Ribadeo. At Casa Villaronta you can eat the best Galician octopus, it's their specialty, much like the calamari and pork, also. I recommend you go with time to spare because due to its small size it fills up quickly and you can wait up to an hour for a table. It has the best quality-price ratio I know of. We dined on octopus, a wine bottle (Ribeiro) ham, calamari and Santiago cake for 38 euros.
Good place for a delicious Cantabrian lunch or dinner. Its location itself makes it a very charming place. I recommend that you visit if you are nearby. Getting there is quite simple since Ribadeo is not very big, is just Porcillán dock side, perfectly suited to the locality. The area has ample parking and is an ideal place to leave the car to eat and then take a walk to the seashore. The place is huge, is divided into bar-cafeteria and then the dining room of the restaurant, with daily menu at an affordable price but recommend eating a la carte with seafood and tapas. The prices are good and the food is delicious.
Delicious T-bone steak, fresh and done to a turn. A treat for the palate, it’s incredible tasting this dish accompanied by a good wine that can be found in their cellar. If we add to all this homemade desserts such as filloas (Galician for crepes) and Grandma's pie the result can be amazing. I recommend it to everyone for the price and quality.
Whenever I have the opportunity (I’ve already gone a couple of times), I like to eat at this great churrasqueria. The located is something else. It’s located on the top of San Roque mountain, providing for some incredible views of the Viverio river and Cobas beach, etc. Inside, there’sthe Saint Roque chapel, a granary, and it’s a place where festivals are held in the middle of July, as it has a large structure to celebrate outdoor meals.
It specializes in meats but their large variety of fish from the river is also very good (sardines with the spine taken out and already opened up) and the homemade desserts like the rice pudding and the cream cheese are great and traditional dishes from the area.
I just came in for a drink but I liked the old style. It is decorated in an almost romantic style, but with very good taste. The back room is very nice, very carefully done and in great detail, inviting guests to chat and have a long and quiet spot.
This inn was opened last year and is on the road in Chavin about 3 or 4 miles from Vivero, and toward the Natural Monument Souto da Retort A Taberna do trunk is in a quiet and is large, has the capacity for 30 people, and there are some game animals decorating a wall of bright pink, almost fuchsia, which suggests that the owner is, or like taxidermy. A Taberna do Trunk is a rural family tavern where you can taste fine regional cuisine typical of the region, as a good tripe, game meat, octopus, ham, some good mussels, grilled seafood or rice with lobster ( on request). Corns are the specialty of the house, so this year next August 9 will be a day dedicated to delicious food on an esplanade as well as an antique car shows.
Situated in the village of Chavin, the inn O Pumariño is a recommended restaurant. Small but with unique decor , we can choose from a menu ranging from squid as starters to the great grilled meat as a second. The desserts are homemade and are delicious chestnuts in syrup. The room is accessible from 14:00 and closed on Wednesdays,
Normandie's restaurant but also a place for tapas where you can try a mix of tapas, traditional of the area like the Galician octopus, raxo with fries, spicy pork, squid, etc.. Homemade desserts. It is located in the heart of town and has fair prices.
