A few days ago I discovered the Churreria San Cristobal, some delicious churros and some incredible hot potatoes, with a traditional family ambience. They have over 60 years of experience. I heartily recommend it! The best churreria of Almuñecar. Do not leave Almuñecar without trying it! You will not regret! Furthermore it is on the beach, watching the sea eating churros is a joy!
The Italian Café is an experience, it is an ice cream place-bar-pizzeria-exhibit space all in one. They produce their own local tropical fruit ice cream, pancakes and waffles instantly. You can enjoy a nice meal in the sun while you check your email with your free Wi-Fi or read international press, they even have a small library with a book exchange. 100% recommended! Oh, do not forget to try the typical sweets sexitanos, the recipes have been rescued from over 300 years of oblivion.
This is a restaurant that is managed by a family with a long culinary tradition. It specializes in traditional French cuisine, with a selection of the most popular recipes, but also some not so well known ones too. The decor is simple but cheerful and warm - it has a homey feel. It is ideal to enjoy the flavors of home-cooking.
The Calabajio Restaurant has great value, excellent service and a privileged position. It is one of the best places in Almuñécar. Its chill out terrace is also part of the charm of the place and the mojitos are the house specialty. Worth a visit.
The restaurant Jacquy Cotobroestá beachfront gives visitors different recipes with a strong French influence. It also has a good and varied cellar, where we find French champagne and wines. Its specialties are meats, fish and seafood. Prominent among the prawns sauteed dishes fresh pasta background. It has, also, amazing desserts made with Belgian chocolate.
There is nothing more romantic than enjoying a meal overlooking the sea from your table. In the restaurant Chinasol you can enjoy the best of Spanish cuisine with high quality products. It has a friendly atmosphere and offers a la carte dining, with weekly suggestions and a daily menu of regional cuisine. It also has a private room that is suitable for all types of corporate and social.
Los Geraneos, named after the red geraniums hanging from its balconies, is right in the center of Almuñecar's old town and is a good choice for lunch. For one, the location couldn't be better...the plaza has intricate Mediterranean-style tile work which accents the white-washed buildings, Moorish touches, and flowering vines hanging from the window boxes.
We had the daily menu of fideua (a dish typical along the Spanish coast which is similar to paella but made with short noodles instead of rice), and "boquerones fritos," another Andalusian delicacy consisting of miniature sardines marinated in parsley and garlic then lightly breaded and fried. Absolutely delicious, among the best I've ever had, in fact, and I consider myself something of a boquerones connoisseur.
For dessert, we sampled a typical dessert of Almuñecar made of figs, nuts, sesame, and honey, ingredients which highlight Almuñecar's North African heritage. The owners couldn't be nicer and the price was reasonable. It's a good bet for a tasty lunch in the old town.
The site is very good, it's busy, but you get a table fast. For every drink you get tapas which are pretty good and at quite an affordable price. In the summer it is busy and it took a while but it is worth the wait.
Boto's - the recommended restaurant is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Almuñéca. It is characterized by giving their clients the best care. It has a pleasant air conditioned environment and an extensive menu where you will find everything from the best sweet and savory delights to fine wines. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.
