The city of Tarija is located the south of Bolivia. Here you'll find a pleasant climate and very hospitable and friendly people. I got to know it while I was traveling and loved it! I hope to one day go and live in Tarija. The city is quite cozy.
The Valley of Conception is located 25 kilometres from Tarija, Bolivia. It's known for producing the best grapes. You can visit the artisan winery, "OLD HOUSE," where you can taste the delicious and different wines. It also has a nice restaurant with typical food and handmade sweets, plus it has a beautiful view of the vineyards. I loved it!!
You can find the San Jacinto Dam about 6 KM from the city of Tarija. It is one of the main tourist attractions, and you can practice water sports such as swimming, boating, skiing and fishing. The water spreads out for about 700 hectares. Here, you can often find people selling fish (doraditos.. Highly recommended), crabs and tamales to eat.
Eustaquio Mendez is a cultural heritage house in San Lorenzo. He was an urban guerrilla who fought in the battle of the slaughterhouse. The square is home to a his statue. Before the house was like a museum, but was purchased and turned into a very nice restaurant without moving anything of Eustaquio Mendez thanks to the mayor of San Lorenzo. Mendez's land becomes more beautiful each year, where you can enjoy delicious doughnuts, empanadas, dumplings with cheese and onions, and of course, the delicious "alojas". San Lorenzo is also known as the land of Easter flowers, which is a festival where both devotees and locals celebrate Passover by dancing and enjoying the delicious food offered. It has its Antones that form part of the tourist center of the province. It's very attractive because you can see rivers with clear water and good vegetation. Well this is some of what SAN LORENZO is. For more information email me at lore_666_cz@hotmail.Com I put up the photos and videos of the most beautiful places.
The Old House is a great tourism site where they make the famous Valley wine. If you don't know Tarija, this is one of the highlights- local wines at a favorite old winery, followed by something typical of the region to eat.
