The Archaeological Museum Provinciale F. Ribezzo, is situated in the city of Brindisi. The museum's first home was in the mid-nineteenth century church of San Juan in the tomb, opened on the initiative of Canon John Tarantini: this soon became insufficient, and it was decided by the Provincial Administration to take over the space left in the old hospital building, located next to the cathedral, and to target it to rehouse the Museum (and also the Provincial Library and the Administrator). An interesting collection

The Archaeological Museum is located in the city of Brindisi. The museum's first home was in the mid-nineteenth century church of San Juan in the tomb on the initiative of Canon John Tarantini. However, this space soon became insufficient, and the Provincial Administration moved it into the space left by the old hospital building, next to the cathedral. The new museum opened in 1958, and shows some very interesting antiques and collections showing the history of the region.....
