It is an area mostly inhabited by the Mapuche ethnic community, it is very quiet and warm, surrounded by nature with beautiful flora and fauna. There are several campsites around the Bio Bio river. We came to one which was attended by a Mapuche family friendly and where one was integrated into the life of field. There many places to go out for a walk. Here is the perfect place to forget about the city and enjoy nature.
A quiet town located a few kilometers from the city of conception. The modern touch escapes this city but it preserves its ancestral magic. A beautiful town with buildings which make Tome an icon commune .
For all visitors that come for the first time you need to find a good place to stay, I recommend The penquista, which offers student pensions in the winter and in the summer offers tourists rooms for an offer that is below that of the area, which is $ 8000 Chilean pesos, just under 17 dollars. The place is warm, clean and safe. Aunt Anita that treats you with love and if you want something to eat you can chat with her. She offers the service at a reasonable cost. In addition to those traveling during the year there is a room if a tourist wants to stay. The place is 5 minutes from the main bus terminal in the city.
Complejo Olas (complex waves) is a large apartment complex in San Pedro Bay of peace with nearly 2km of beach with grey sand. It's not suitable for swimming because it's dangerous, but this resort has one of the largest swimming pools of Chile where it is possible to practice sailing sports ...
This place is a river surrounded by beautiful scenery, crystal waters, abundant flora, and birds like bluebells and chilcos. There are even Moras oak maquis etc, in summer the nights are too beautiful where the sky is completely clean, and you can see the beautiful fireflies and listen for owls. It's a place where you can rest and be in paradise.
I Stayed at the hotel in the summer in its best room, not as great as we can imagine, the room also had a bad smell when we got there. For the price it is better to stay on the other side, I recommend a hotel on the street reaching O'Higgins.
