Temple of Apollo

Il tempio di Apollo è uno dei importanti siti storici di questo lembo d'isola legata alla terraferma (Siracusa). La struttura del Tempio era quella di un peripteo esastilo con sei colonne sui lati corti e diciassette su quelli lunghi. Lungo ben 56 metri e largo 22 metri. Un epigrafe scritta in greco sulla parte interna del sagrato dice testualmente che "Kleomenes figlio di Knidiedias fece il Tempio dedicato ad Apollo e il suo colonnato che lo circonda". Oggi i ruderi rimasti sono ancora oggetto di studio.
