Beach Barrañan

Barrañán Beach is the one I like the most in Arteixo (La Coruña). It is a long beach with fine sand and dunes and it is rarely too crowded. Its western end is the best place for sun bathing, especially if you have children as a small estuary allows bathing even if the sea has the red flag. Up a short slope, there is a kiosk where you can eat or drink, it has a large covered terrace with wooden benches where reading in the shade while watching the sea is a pleasure. At the eastern end there is a beautiful cove where nudism is practiced routinely, but to get there you have to cross a stretch of highway and go down a steep incline.
