Bemposta Major Church

In the highest part of the city, by o the viewpoint and the Chapel of Santa Barbara is the parish church of Bemposta. It was constructed in the 16th century, but was reconstructed in the 17th century. The most striking thing of the facade is the belfry constructed in concrete and topped by a wrought iron campanile. It has a Latin cross, with 2 side chapels, and many altarpieces inside, which has a white background and decorated with gold leaf, such as Purgatory, Nuestra Señora de Fatima, Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, and an amazing Crucified Christ made of stone, from the Romanesque period. Opposite
