Azzonzo
An imposing castle
This is the largest castle in Puglia, dating back to around 1500. The architect was Gian Jacopo dell'Acaja. The castle is surrounded by an imposing wall, which has been completely fortified. The entrance is well guarded, and inside is a large patio and the entrance to the impressive halls, which nowadays host exhibitions and events.
