A central point
It is considered the most central point of the city. Well planned out, on the one hand is the Senador Helio Campos Palace, government headquarters, the legislative assembly on the other, as well as the Cathedral of Christ the Redeemer and the Palácio da Cultura Nene Macaggi with artistic exhibitions, library and theater shows. Right in the center of the square is the monument do Garimpeiro, a tribute to the thousands of miners in Roraima.
