COLCAS in MACHU PICCHU
Colcas, or qollqa are buildings or palces for storing goods. The Inca economic policy established building these stores as one of the core points of its administration, so that every settlement had to be accompanied by an appropriate number of stores providing its inhabitants with clothing and food to fulfill needs that could occur for natural or social reasons, so in Machu Picchu there are colcas in various parts of the sanctuary.
