Cylindrical Tower of Cashel

1 review of Cylindrical Tower of Cashel

The oldest building in Cashel

In the northeast corner of the cathedral inside Cashel Rock, we found this cylindrical tower. It is the oldest building in the ruins and dates back to the eleventh or twelfth century. The tower has a height of 28 m and the front door is 3.5 m above the ground, which was perhaps for defense reasons.
