Desembocadura del Río Mijares

4 reviews of Desembocadura del Río Mijares

great bird diversity

The mouth of the Rio Mijares and Les Goals Rivers, along border between Burriama and Almassora, is a wetland area that stands out for the diversity of its birds: up to 207 different species have been recorded over the years, and despite the industrial and urban development of the recent years, it still retains the best breeds of cañal cock Camalonga and Castellon. The hydrophilic vegetation has been submerged and diversity is found among the reeds and rushes as well.
