El Calamar (Cabo de la Vela) Restaurant

Cabo de la Vela is quite rustic and basic, but when it comes to food, you eat like kings. Obviously, the menu is always based on fish, or seafood, very fresh, newly caught -almost always by the restaurant owner. Unless a certain dish is ordered in advance, there's no choice: What they have fished is what is being served. So all the guests eat the same. In The Squid, located in one of the first houses in Cabo de la Vela, I tried a barracuda - amazing served with rice, salad and fried plantains. A delicacy for less than 1 €.
