A majestic place
In Annecy, it sits on a promontory overlooking the gorge of the lake, the place was on strategic road to Geneva-Italy. The walls, flanked by towers, look great, and over the drawbridge nowadays, instead of gently sloping glazed passages, show the old foundations at the majestic entrance door, which opens onto a beautiful, well lit southern courtyard. The castle is now city-owned, and houses the museum collections.
