Worth a visit
The fort of Santa Margarita, formerly a prison, is the island's main tourist attraction. Admission is 6 euros, or half-price for students. I liked it a lot. From the walls you can take beautiful pictures of the island and the sea. This is where the "man in the iron mask" was incarcerated, and you can visit his cell. You can also see the prison chapel and other buildings, and go to the Museum of the Sea.
