Gaios

The largest village on Paxos, Gaios is a very popular resort for tourists, mostly coming by yachts. It is worth walking to the monument to the "burning student" - a monument to a Greek hero, Anemogianis Giorgos, who was born on this island, and who was arrested and tortured to death. Gaios has many beautiful beaches for swimming and diving, a Mediterranean paradise.
