Gondava Great Valley of the Dinosaurs

During the couple of days we were at Villa de Leyva, we organized a trip to Sáchica, where there's the new Gondava theme park that's dedicated to dinosaurs and everything prehistoric. Although the official opening will be in December 2010, you can visit the finished areas inside, there's an apparent desert with a lake that show's marine species. The park is divided into prehistoric areas, including the Jurassic, much beloved by children, with a model of the feared Tyrannosaurus Rex 65 million years ago, and many others, all to scale. The tour has activities such as miniature golf, boats and excavations, with an additional cost of general admission.
