Highfield Country Park

Accessible via the bike path of the Fallowfield Loop, Highfield Country Park is located between the old railway track and Houldsworth golf course. This whole area is actually an industrial wasteland that has almost returned to the wild! Once the red bricks used for building work across Manchester were manufactured here, but today the old factories have been abandoned and taken over by trees. It's a pleasant green space with lots of young saplings growing.
