Museum of Vietnamese History

The Vietnam History Museum, co-located with the botanical park and zoo in the former Saigon, now Ho Chi Minh City. The museum is a must, showing the origins of civilisation in what is now Vietnamese territory. Here you can see the remains of the Dong Son civilisation and the ceramics of the Chinese period. The art is stunning, with special attention paid for the lighting, and objects collected from villages around the country. A place to escape the bustle of Saigon.
