A bit run down
The private house Marignane, located in a street parallel to Cours Mirabeau, has a facade that was surely charming in its day, but now its a bit run down. However the history invited here me here as towards the end of the seventeenth century, the poor and young Mirabeau seduced the young lady Marignane, a rich heiress. Eventually they married, but the father of the girl did not agree with the marriage, cut her off. Mirabeau owed so much to city merchants, that he ended up incarcerated at the chateau d'If.
