Hotel Hilton

With a great location just outside the economic and touristy part of the city centre, the Hilton is a few metres from Sword Lake, in a pretty square that also houses the city opera house. The building is impressive and majestic. We didn't stay here, as we prefer the cheaper guesthouses, but we ate here on Christmas Eve. The hotel is decorated with 1,000 lights for the season and offers a delicious buffet with oysters, foie gras, a huge selection of meats, fish, shellfish, vegetables, and breads and cheeses for just $ 40 - very popular with expats.
