11 reviews of Iberian Citadel of Calafell

Back to Iberian times

At kilometer 141 of the C-31, there’s a reconstruction of an Iberian settlement dating back all the way to the Iron Age. The most interesting part was that the reconstruction was made with actual artifacts and ruins found and excavated in 1983. Now, the village is almost perfectly rebuilt and extensive work has been done to decorate the interiors as they appeared over 2500 years ago.

To make the visit more interactive, you can also dress like the original Iberians and take part in some of their daily tasks. It’s like being part of a museum.
