Jardim Popular Restaurant

The Jardim Popular restaurant is located on Pereira Street, right behind the Cathedral, and belongs to the same owners of the Serra das Meadas complex. You actually don't notice it when you are walking down the street as it has an unassuming entrance of granite. Entering through an arc, you are surprised to find a large patio with tranquil gardens, picnic tables, a small pond, a playground and a barbeque. There is a wonderful new building made entirely glass in the courtyard which houses the dining room, so you have garden views from any of the tables. The menu didn't have an awful lot of choice: Some entrees, fish (bream and cod) and meat (some dishes made with pork, beef and lamb).
