Keur Saloum Hotel

This hotel is in the delta of the Sine-Saloum river in Toumbacouta, in the Fatick region. The delta is a national park 270 km from Dakar, which seems like 500. It took seven hours to get there along a very bad road. The same goes for the hotel on the shoulder of land across the field. I slept alone in a bungalow that are like the huts where the natives live. The surroundings are full of birds. It's an ideal place for bird lovers. There are also red and green monkeys and lots of fish. You eat well. There is a swimming pool, thankfully, and it's like an oasis in the middle of the Senegalese Savannah.
