House of famous writer
In this house (first floor to be exact) was where the famous writer François René de Chateaubriand, the author of "Memoirs from beyond the grave", was born on September 4, 1768. Today this house is private property and was transformed into a hotel: Hotel de la Gicquel. Above the door they have placed his family's coat of arms and his motto: "My blood reaches flags of France".
