La cocina de Vicente (Cerrado)

If you are already familiar with the Casa Vicente, the Cocina de Vicente won’t let you down, and I think I enjoyed the new restaurant even more. It definitely made it onto my list of recommended places in Ayamonte.

It’s a new place that’s been open for about two months now. It’s managed by he created of Casa Vicente, a true maestro in the kitchen, where you eat wonderfully and never complain about the quality-price relation. As a matter of fact, sometimes you think it’s somewhat of a gift when you think about the prices they charge for the great food.

Everything is really great, but my recommendations are: salad with pineapple and strawberry, onion-cooked tuna, papaya tartar, and the salmorejo (cream of tomato).

A very Andalusian looking aesetic on the outside, with a cozy interior, the new Vicente restaurant is the next thing in Ayamonte after the classic Casa Vicente.

I love everything we ordered, from the salad with tomato, tuna, onion, the chanquetes or the fantastic papaya tartar, everything was traditional and innovative at the same time. It had a good presentation. I had a great tinto de verano to go with the food, as it should be.

La cocina de Vicene (Vicent’s kitchen) is Vicente’s new restaurant that after being Casa Vicente has found a new location in front of the bus station. To be honest, it’s better than the old place although it can be hard to get a table. The menu is based on high-quality seafood, and, above all, tuna cooked with onions, which is a supreme dish.

We loved the place. Vicente is quite a character. He waited on us wonderfully, and served us a wonderful shrimp platter, and then divinely prepared tuna. Very good, I will go back for sure. The salads, the fish, the fried shrimp with onions and nothing else. In January we frequent this place. Make sure to visit, it’s a top restaurant.

We at at La Cocina de Vicente de Ayamonte last night and I now recommend it to everyone. Great quality-price relation, a very pleasant terrace, with really good service. They treated us right at Vicente’s and I’ll be going back for sure.
