La Libération Square

The center of the city of Tozeur is where you will find the Place de la Libération (Freedom Square). It is also known as Market Square, as it is here that the weekly market takes place. It is a square surrounded by buildings with arcades made of typical brick and a central area landscaped with palm trees and benches. Buses usually drop off tourists in this square, as it offers access to the medina or the neigbourhood of Ouled ech Cherif .
