SUBLIME

I'm not a lover of the beach because I do not like it, but this particular one has intrigued me. This is the third year that I have visited this beach at Christmas time. We are lucky enough to go there to spend Christmas Eve in one of the resorts on the Algarve through the exchange of a timeshare. Located in the town of Portimao in the Algarve, the adjectives to describe this place are so many that I can think of only one right now: SUBLIME and, given the sunsets, even this has fallen short.

Dicen que una de las mejores, si no la...

Dicen que una de las mejores, si no la mejor playa de Portugal. Situada en el Algarve, cuenta con acantilados, rocas salientes e islotes. La playa se ensancha dos kilómetros hacia Poniente hasta una zona en la que los acantilados imposibilitan el que exista arena. En la gran roca se asienta el mirador que comunica las dos playas (Poniente y Levante) por dos entradas erosionadas por el mar. A ambos lados del mirador hay escaleras de piedra que bajan hasta la orilla. La playa de Levante es más animada y bulliciosa que la de Poniente. Sobre sus acantilados se concentran la mayor parte de hoteles, restaurantes y centros de animación de la Rocha. En el centro de la playa existe un chiriquito bastante cutre (eso sí, límpio), en el que nos comimos el mejor bacalao que he probado en mi vida. Dicen que en Verano suele estar llena de gente. Personalmente fuimos en Septiembre y no había demasiada gente, a pesar de hacer un día tremendo de playa.

Playas del Algarve, un trozo de paraíso entre Carvoeiro y Lagoa Debo reconocer que es una de mis debilidades viajeras, que son un tesoro descubierto hace ahora como diez años cuando iniciaba una nueva aventura en mi vida que me llevaba a escaparme de aquello tan rutinario a lo que venía estando acostumbrado en aquellos años. Ahora una década después sigo volviendo por esta tierra y busco sus extensas playas, y sus recovecas calas para disfrutarlas en compañía siempre de personas especiales para mi. Y es ahí, entre Carvoeiro y Lagoa donde vuelvo a vibrar observando y gustándome en playas como Albandeira o A Marinha quizá dos de los rincones de mar más maravillosos que haya descubierto en mi vida, ésta última una de las cien mejores playas del mundo. Te había abandonado Algarve, bajé la guardia contigo pero de nuevo te piso, cuando más te necesito, como hacía antes, cuando eras mi confidente y guardabas aquellas aventuras de joven y pasional enamorado que allí quedaron tras la frontera ayamontina. Vuelvo al Algarve, vuelvo a tus playas, ahora con una cámara de fotos mejor, sin carretes para revelar pero con la misma ilusión y sentido que durante años hice.

Posto stupendo in autunno non ha eguali...

Posto stupendo in autunno non ha eguali ....Da non perdere le continue entrate ed uscite dalle caverne delle scogliere, dei passaggi sulla praia da rocha per circa 3 kilometri e che ti lasciano letteralmente stupefatti di come possa esserci un posto in europa ancora così selvaggio, da restare con la bocca aperta ed inspirare l'aria dall'oceano, il profumo intenso del mare e il suono delle centinaia di gabbiani che popolano la spiaggia e le sue sculture di terra gialla e rossa.Uno dei posti più romantici da dividere con la propria metà. Posto dove trascorrere giornate incredibili con il sole che ti accarezza il corpo e il vento dell'Oceano atlantico che ti rinfresca....Lo consiglio assolutamente ed è facile da raggiungere...Meno di tre ore di volo da milano, con arrivo a FARO, piccola città dell'algarve, con una modica cifra si noleggia un'auto e in mezz'ora si arriva aPortimao, a proposito...Le tangenziali dell'algarve sono gratuite, non si paga nulla...

La principale plage de Portimao vaut aussi pour son décor de falaises. Comme souvent en Algarve on atteint la plage par une volée d'escaliers car elle se situe en contrebas de belles falaises aux couleurs ocre. Il est alors surprenant de se trouver au pied de blocs de roches qui sont encore debout en avant du sable, un petite allure de décor de western en bord de mer ! Certes, pour atteindre cette longue grève située dans le quartier de Vau, il faut traverser la grande agglomération urbanisée de Portimao : l'ambiance "un peu plus nature" n'est qu'en bord d'Océan, mais c'est très joli.

No sé si será la mejor porque no he visto todas, pero desde luego que me impresionó bastante. Me sentía bastante relajado, y tampoco hay tanta gente como en otras playas aquí en España y yo estuve en Julio. El agua esta exageradamente fría, solo apta para los más valientes. Pero desde luego cualquiera que vaya se quedará fascinado por su belleza.

La playa de la roca es un lugar fantástico, con un ambiente muy especial, el Algarve es una de las zonas más bonitas de Europa. A boat trip to Carvoeiro Potimao

Un paseo en barco de Potimao a Carvoeiro

Un buen día estábamos paseando por las calles cerca de la Praia da Rocha en Portimao cuando nos ofrecieron una excursión en barco por 20 euros cada adulto y la idea nos pareció estupenda, así que a la mañana siguiente cogimos y llamamos para confirmar la reserva, nos recogieron en una van al lado del hotel y nos llevaron a la marina de Portimao desde donde salen los barcos, es un puerto muy pequeño y estaba cerca pero no lo conocíamos. En el paseo grabamos un vídeo, vimos algunas grutas, buenas calitas y hubo gente que se dió un chapuzón, también intentamos buscar algún delfín sin éxito y nos volvieron a traer al puerto, muy recomendable la experiencia, mereció la pena ya que algunos lugares que vimos son prácticamente inaccesibles desde tierra.
