Very friendly
Gabon is one of the most stable countries in Africa and it shows especially in the capital, Libreville. Although the country is not very rich, the capital has enough infrastructure and looks more like other African capital cities than those of Europe. Libreville is home to over 300,000 people, but isn't very noisy. There is enough business, and it has a university and even an airport. Libreville also has the Gabon River, along which the city has created a kind of promenade area through which it's a real pleasure to walk, especially to admire the sunsets. The people are very friendly and don't normally beg for money or do things to overwhelm you, so you feel much more at ease than in other African cities.
When we arrived, we took the opportunity to do many things that we had pending. The first, and foremost, was to get some sleep and take a long shower, because we were not able to do so during the several days we spent in the jungle. Afterwards, we took the cars to be looked after since Africa is a hard country where the cars just get wrecked. Anyway, it was a great stop in Libreville to recharge and continue exploring Africa. In this city, there are many tourists and some of them have some incredible stories that personally, made me very jealous. One that caught my attention was a Basque named Lorenzo who spent several years traveling around the world by bike. He had an apartment in the Basque Country and rented it for 600 euros, with that money every month, he lived in different parts of the world.
