Cualquier época del año es la ideal para ir a Maintencillo. Sobre todo si te gusta la combinación de playa de aguas tranquilas y arena fina y campo repleto de pinos y eucaliptos. El clima es templado, con nubes por la mañana casi todo s los días. Maintencillo se ubica a unos 170 kilómetros de Santiago y a 50 kilómetros hacia el note de Valparaíso, en la comuna de Puchuncaví, en Chile. Tiene muchas opciones para pasar la noche muy cómodamente: hoteles, hostales o si vas en familia o con amigos es muy divertido rentar una cabañita que puede estar literalmente hablando, sobre la playa. Hay muchas playas para elegir: Las Conchitas, Los Pinos, Aguas Blancas, Playa Grande y Abanico. Dos de las actividades que ha tenido más éxito son: el surf y el vuelo en parapente, que se están convirtiendo en un "sello" de Maintencillo. Si eres principiante, no te preocupes pues puedes encontrar escuelas de surf o vuelos en parapente acompañado de un instructor.
