It is a fantastic hotel and modern winery, organized, clean and full of history. The bedrooms are fantastic and you can have the breakfast brought up to your room for only 6 more Euros. It has a wonderful view to the vineyards.
A 5 star category make clear the quality, and greatness of service that a hotel should have.
The kitchen is so spectacular that every dish leaves you in awe, also the presentation of the different dishes and, of course the winery (Marqués de Riscal), with many international awards, make the tasting a wonderful experience.
Like a famous bullfighter said: "in two words: im pressive".
This hotel is marvelous, with corners in every part of the building (wine-bar, terrace, two hotels, spa…).
I recommend eating in one of its restaurants (one is more traditional and the other more contemporary food) and to enjoy the food and the views (they are amazing by night). Moreover, if you go there on a weekday you can enjoy a tour of the winery and spa, together with lunch or dinner for a good price (“A Day in the City of Wine” pack).
By the way, it’s called the City of Wine because this winery has numerous buildings that reflect the history of the winery.
For wine and tranquility lovers, I recommend a weekend in the Marqués de Riscal. It was designed by the prestigious architect Frank O. Gehry and it has spectacular views of the vineyards.
The interior is very cozy, with a traditional touch but with a strong avant-garde tendency. There aren’t sufficient words to describe the exterior.
It’s worth it.
