A fascinating site
In the center of the village of Tarxien, located in the southeast of the island of Malta, near Paola, you'll find this splendid megalithic tempo dating back to 3500 years BC. It's hard to wrap our minds around such a faraway period of time. How could they have built such architectural complexes?
What drove these people to do this type of work? The balls that appear in some of the photos appear to have been used to transport the large stones. A highly recommended visit.
