It is striking and colorful. It is a hive of activity, where there are many people and cars that carry enormous bags of fresh flower petals. Sellers are sitting on the ground in very small delis, stringing flowers and garland necklaces together and weighing (on very old scales) and bagging the petals, mainly jasmine, which is by far the most commonly used in the ceremonies that are conducted in the temples.
