Cala Mitjana is a small virgin cove in the south of Menorca. Its blue waters and central location make it a recommendable and easily-accessible location for everyone. To get to Cala Mitjana, you take the same road to go to Cala Galdana.
Take the detour towards Santa Galdana just before you get to Ferrerías from Ciudadela heading towards Mahón. After a few minutes, you’ll see a sign indicating the direction to the cove.
It’s a true luxury to have a savage cove of blue celestial waters with fine, white, white, white sand and a parking lot so close to the cove.
There’s a cave in the left with a little bit of sand and plenty of shade, which makes the perfect place for a mid-day siesta.
Going down the path to Galdana cove, as the parking lot below tends to be full, you’ll find some fascinating views that will take your breath away: you’ll catch a glimpse of the emerald green waters through the branches of the trees which slowly becomes crystalline blue as you head out from shore.
The cove is relatively calm as it was July 15th. There weren’t any bars or stands. There was a man that came down selling fresh fruit. If you want to eat a meal, you’ll have to go to Galdana cove.
